In some unusual situations
Windows 7 users please troubleshoot with these steps before contact
for tech support:

1) Insert CD

2) Click on driverinstaller
from CD menu

3) Now click on uninstall in
pop up window (the computer will ask you to completely remove the
driver; say yes)

4) Restart computer
-
5) Go to
http://zenstargps.com/PL2303_Prolific_GPS_1013_20090319.exe
then click run to download and install special driver
-
6) Connect GPS to computer.
You should see a com port #
-
7) This com port # is what
you will use to set up the GPS with your navigational program
